First Day
Today was my first day at a new job: directing the choir at Freedom Village Retirement Community. While I was excited to start the first day on the job, I was also very nervous. Last night, I had a dream that everyone walked out of the rehearsal and was unhappy with me. When I woke up, I was a little relieved, and a little stressed.
Today was my first day at a new job, and it was a wonderful day. We had over 20 singers show up! All the residents were so kind, patient, and talented. I am already looking forward to their first performance of 2024. Everything turned out great, and I do not regret the nerves and curiosity. In fact, I am thankful for the nerves. I controlled the butterflies in my stomach and allowed them to guide me on my first day at the new job.
